“Benvenuti!” to a unique intercontinental musical collaboration between Hong Kong and Milan in a prominent cultural landmark

Interweaving Contours brings together Musicus Soloists Hong Kong and Cameristi della Scala, the world-famous Milanese chamber orchestra. Comprising musicians from the orchestra of the celebrated Teatro alla Scala opera house, Cameristi della Scala bring their renowned flair and brio to Hong Kong under the baton of conductor Wilson Hermanto. As part of a unique fusion with Musicus Soloists Hong Kong, this stands to be a special collaboration between Italy and Hong Kong.

Together, they will perform two ensemble concerts at Tai Kwun, featuring lyrical works by Italian composers and soul-stirring classics of the Romantic era. In the first ensemble concert, Musicus Artistic Director and soloist Trey Lee will perform Boccherini’s highly virtuosic Cello Concerto in D. In the second program, violist Annis Ma takes on Bruch’s Romance for Viola and Orchestra and Weber’s Andante and Hungarian Rondo, offering a rare showcase of the viola’s distinctive expressive depth.

Just as La Scala is an emblematic landmark of Milan’s cultural landscape, Tai Kwun is an unmissable cultural hub in a beautiful heritage setting. Interweaving Contours will testify to this by celebrating the partnership between local and international musicians.
